Pure Mulberry Silk Lining
At the heart of our sleep turban is a 100% pure mulberry silk lining, 16 momme; lightweight, fluid and wonderfully breathable. Its delicate drape and exceptionally smooth touch make it beautifully gentle against the hair and skin. Our premium Grade 6A silk is made from long, strong and uniform fibres, giving it the luxurious softness, strength and refined feel synonymous with beautiful quality silk.

Velvet Satin Outer
The outer fabric is a beautifully soft, lightweight velvet satin, chosen for its sumptuous silky-velvet feel and graceful drape. Soft to the touch and elegant in appearance, it gives the turban a wonderfully luxurious finish, making bedtime feel just that little bit more special.

Bamboo Jersey Band
The softly comfortable band is made from silky-smooth bamboo jersey, with a gentle natural stretch that sits comfortably against the skin. Cool, soft and soothing to wear, bamboo jersey is naturally odour-resistant and antibacterial, while its beautifully soft handle makes it particularly kind to delicate and sensitive skin.

All our silk turbans are made to one size and will fit most heads due to the comfortable jersey band.

Care Guide

We recommend hand washing your turban gently in cold water (under 30°C) using a mild, neutral detergent designed for silk. Avoid harsh rubbing or wringing when wet. Air dry flat or hang in a cool, shaded place away from direct sunlight. If required, use a cool iron setting between towels while the fabric is slightly damp, or use a low-temperature steamer.

The Dilly Daydream Story

Dilly Daydream—Alison's childhood nickname (make of that what you will!)—began in 2007 with a simple search for a gift.

Unable to find a pretty, well-made shower cap for her grandmother, Alison was disappointed by the choices on offer. Most were tight-fitting, mass-produced plastic imports that lacked both quality and charm.

Convinced there had to be a better alternative, she decided to make one herself. What started as a daydream quickly became a reality, and Dilly Daydream was born.

Today, we continue to make beautiful, practical bathroom accessories from our UK workshop, including shower caps, shower turbans, drying turbans, swim turbans, sponge bags, bath pillows and hairbands. Every item is made with the same philosophy that inspired the very first shower cap: everyday essentials should be functional, comfortable, long-lasting and a pleasure to use.

Our shower caps are machine washable and designed to stand the test of time. We even offer a Shower Cap MOT service to refresh well-loved favourites, helping them look their best for years to come. We also create bespoke shower caps for customers looking for something truly personal.
